About the Author

Dr. Nicole Lieger has a transdisciplinary background in social sciences, including political science and economics, with a Master’s degree in Development Studies from IDS (UK) and a doctorate from the University of Vienna (Austria). She has worked for Amnesty International in campaigning and organizational development and served as CEO to the L. Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights and the European Peace Center in Austria. She has been teaching at the University of Vienna for many years now and has actively supported a large number of grassroots civil society groups and neighborhood communities.

Her topics include our relation to the living earth (from deep ecology to lifestyle and circular economy) as well as peace, restorative justice and cultural transformation. Her focus is on uniting inner and outer change as well as aligning ends and means in political action.

Her experiences and theoretical background now inspire her novels and the fantasy worlds she creates.
